Although my family moved to Athens when I was ten, I consider myself an Athenian native as my formative years were mostly spent here.  A 1995 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College (University now!), I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in English. Since that time, I have worked the family business for the last 30 years and have raised a family of my own. They are God's greatest earthly gifts to me!  

With the passing of my sweet Daddy, the business was closed and the building sold. So, what next?!?! That was a question that took lots of soul searching, many prayers and total trust in God to bring just the right opportunity my way. That's truly how I view my job: as an opportunity! An opportunity to grow. An opportunity to be a blessing to others. An opportunity to share His love with those who cross my path. An opportunity to rediscover my adult self. An opportunity to learn new skills and dust off some old ones. 

So, if we cross paths in the day to day operations of Southern Homes, please know that God is the source of deep, abiding JOY, that Jesus loves you more than you will ever know and that He wants what is best for you. You can trust Him completely with your yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows!
